Pricing

What the work costs, and what sets the price

Four pieces of work, priced separately, so you pay for the part you actually need. The starting figures are below. The final number is agreed in writing after the free check, and nothing starts before that.

Short answer. Local SEO is 1,500 a month and Google Ads is 1,000 a month plus ad spend. A site build is 4,800 one time, and tracking is 250 a month while local SEO is in scope. Scope sets the final number, not an hourly rate, and it is confirmed in writing after the free check before work starts.

The four pieces

What each piece of work covers

Taken separately or together. Most contractors start with the profile and the call path, then add paid search once the pages can close.

Local SEO

$1,500 per month

Google Business Profile work, service and service area pages, reviews and structured data.

  • Profile categories, services and service areas set for the work you want booked
  • One page per service worth selling, plus service area detail
  • Review request routine and replies to new reviews
  • Structured data and business details kept consistent across the site

Google Ads

$1,000 per month, plus ad spend

Search campaigns built by intent, with negative keyword lists and call tracking that counts calls.

  • Campaign structure split by what the searcher is trying to buy
  • Negative keyword lists that block job seekers and do it yourself traffic
  • Call assets and form submissions counted as leads, not clicks
  • Landing page fit checked before spend is scaled

Website and call path

$4,800 one time

The page the map pack and the ad both land on. Built or fixed so it closes on a phone.

  • Mobile speed, tap to call links and form placement
  • Service scope, service area and proof of work on the page
  • One clear action per page instead of a menu of options
  • Fixes first on the pages that already get traffic

Tracking and reporting

$250 per month, included with local SEO

Calls, forms, map pack positions and spend, in one monthly view, so work is judged on leads.

  • Call reporting or a tracking number, and form submissions recorded
  • Map pack positions tracked for the searches you care about
  • A monthly email with the numbers and what changes next
  • Spend and lead volume read together, not separately

What drives it

What moves the number up or down

Six things decide the scope. They are the same things that decide how much work actually lands on the phone, which is why the number is not flat across markets.

How many services you sell

One service or twelve. Each service worth selling needs its own page, its own detail and its own answers.

The shape of the service area

A single city and a metro with suburbs across three counties are different jobs, with different content and grid work.

How much has to be rebuilt

A profile with real gaps and a site with no service detail cost more than tuning work on a sound foundation.

Whether there is history to work with

An ad account with data and a site with existing traffic start ahead of a blank slate in a new market.

How much writing is involved

Service pages, service area detail and review replies take time whichever way the first drafts are produced.

How many locations are in play

One verified listing and five listings that all need to be consistent, categorised and tied to the right pages, are not the same job.

Billing

How the monthly work is billed

  • Billing starts when the scope is agreed, not before it. The free check never turns into an invoice.
  • Three months minimum, then rolling monthly. The first month is set-up: profile, tracking and the page fixes that have to happen before spend or content can be judged.
  • The scope names what is included and what is not, so a quiet month is a question about the work rather than the invoice.
  • Ad spend goes to Google from your account, so the budget stays visible to you and separate from the fee.

Anything that is not in the scope is priced separately before it starts, including extra service pages, additional locations and paid search budgets above the agreed level.

Questions

Pricing questions

Why do the figures move once the scope is written?

Because one number for every contractor would be wrong for most of them. A single-van operation in one city and a multi-crew company across three counties need different amounts of the same work, and the list above is a starting point rather than a quote. The confirmed figure is a single monthly number for the work described, not an hourly estimate.

How is the free check different from a sales call?

The free check is written work sent by email before any call is booked. It covers the profile, the map pack, the site on a phone and how calls and forms are counted. If the honest answer is that you do not need paid help, that is what the email says.

How long before the spend is worth judging?

Paid search produces usable data in weeks. Profile fixes can move visibility in weeks. Service pages, content and reviews take months to compound. The scope states the point at which the work is reviewed, so the judgement is scheduled rather than argued about later.

What is not included in the fee?

Ad spend, which goes to Google. Photography and video production. Development or design work outside the pages in scope. Eligibility for Local Services Ads, which Google decides and vets itself, including licence and insurance checks.
